Our mission as a church family is to "offer real hope . . . for real people . . . in real community." As a result, we try to make our services and ministries relevant to issues and challenges that we all face in our lives. We also open our arms wide to people in every stage of life and from every background, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey. Come to OWC and experience the hope.
Preparing Your Family for Life
What is required to get every member of your family “life ready?” Is knowing how to read, write and do math enough? Maybe if some skills like taking out the trash or changing a flat tire are added in, is that enough? There are thousands of books containing advice from all sorts of experts that might help us attempt some answers. But rather than looking at someone’s book or blog on family matters, how about we look at an example!
Scripture gives us some amazing insights into how Jesus grew from an infant to adulthood in preparation for his mission to save the world. He was ready to live, love, and even die! So what can we learn? What insights could we apply in our own lives that will help our families? Please join us for our OWC Worship Gatherings as we take a close look at the greatest life ever lived, so we can discover how to prepare our family for real life.
Join us Sunday for our 10 AM Worship Gathering as we continue our series Preparing Your Family for Life with the message Honor God’s Design. This life is an amazing gift from God, yet we live in a world where we are encouraged to treat life with little value. Some people almost worship a healthy body, yet make moral decisions that destroy their body and ultimately their life. Confusing is an understatement! So how can we live by God’s design? How can we show this example to our family?
