Our mission as a church family is to "offer real hope . . . for real people . . . living in the real world." As a result, we try to make our services and ministries relevant to issues and challenges that we all face in our lives. We also open our arms wide to people in every stage of life and from every background, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey. Come to OWC and experience the hope.
This Weekend:
The Story – A Whole Family Bible Experience
Join us January 29th @ 10 AM for our Worship Celebration as we continue our focus on The Story with the message Living the Dream. Have you ever had a dream that captured your heart? If you have then you know the excitement that beats inside your chest whenever you think about it. You also may know the very real challenges of life that will stand up and defy your dream. There is a man in Scripture who certainly can relate to these issues. His name is Joseph and he experienced one of the worst detours you can imagine on the way to a dream.
Condensed into 31 accessible chapters, The Story sweeps you into the unfolding progression of Bible characters and events from Genesis to Revelation. Using the clear, accessible text of the NIV Bible, it allows the stories, poems, and teachings of the Bible to read like a novel.
It truly is the grandest, most compelling story of all time: the story of a true God who loves his children, who established for them a way of salvation and provided a route to eternity. Each story in these 31 chapters reveals the God of grace—the God who speaks; the God who acts; the God who listens; the God whose love for his people culminated in his sacrifice of Jesus, his only Son, to atone for the sins of humanity.”
OWC will be offering The Story as a whole family Bible experience. Each week we will focus on a chapter from The Story in our Worship Celebration and all our Christian Living Classes, from our toddlers through adults will unpack the same theme. Then everyone will be encouraged to read The Story during the week.
